Big City Boys shows portraits, encounters with people that I make and capture. These encounters are not fleeting or terse. Often friendships develop with the people portrayed after getting to know them.
There is no assignment, just conversations and a photographic approach. From time to time, these men* are to be presented in a publication. A first one was published in May 2023. Another portrait book is being planned. Each portrait stands for a special story.
The men* I meet are not exclusively queer, heterosexual men also become visible. But there is no indication of a sexual identity or concrete assignment. Ongoing project
